Samsung Continuum is Verizon’s Samsung Galaxy S series device similar in technical aspects to Fascinate except for the slightly smaller screen size and a unique ticker under the screen for displaying alerts and notifications. The device has recently been successfully rooted with SuperOneClick here is the method.
While SuperOneClick works for rooting a vast range of Android devices, it did not seem to work for Continuum but then, neither did several other popular rooting tools. Though XDA-Developers forum member mrjake1970 has managed to root it using SuperOneClick merely by not giving up upon failing for the first time, and giving it a second shot.
The key to getting SuperOneClick to successfully root Samsung Continuum lies in following these steps:
Disclaimer: Please follow this guide at your own risk. AddictiveTips will not be liable if your device gets damaged or bricked during the process.
- Visit our SuperOneClick rooting guide and attempt to root your phone using the method there.
- Fully close SuperOneClick on your PC, disconnect your phone from your PC and reboot the phone.
- Upon reboot, attempt to root the phone again using the SuperOneClick method, and this time it should successfully root the device.
If you don’t want to follow this method, you can alternatively root your Continuum by first flashing ClockworkMod Recovery to it via Odin and then using the recovery to install rooted DL17 ROM to it.
