Google maps is one of those applications that is widely used when you are travelling to find the path of destination. You can use it easily by your Android phone when you are having internet access but sometimes due to network problem, you are not able to access it. At that time you are stuck with only option left to rely on locals to guide yourself . To resolve this problem, Google has included an offline map service to access it even if you are not connected to internet. To get access in offline mode, just set the following settings:
Launch Google maps service in your android phone and have some patience until it is getting loaded.
Go to Menu and Select the “More options” and then select “Labs”. Google designed Labs section to get the feedback from the users so that it can improve its services.
In Labs section, you will find an option “Pre-cache map area”. Enable this option.
Then select the area where you want to go with the help of Google Maps. When you select the area, a pop up window will open like following.
Tape on the option ”Pre-cache map area”. It will start downloading Pre-cache map area within the 10 meters of area that you have selected.
Once you download it, then you are able to access it even if you are in offline mode.
